I won’t use the medicated feed either. Have had goats for almost 7 years on less than 1/2 acre. Don’t use any coccidiostats or other anti-parasite chemicals. Just make sure they get enough copper and sulfur in the diet, per Pat Coleby’s Natural Goat Care via the mineral mix she recommends. So got my first hundred chicks almost 2 months ago, am adding 1 T raw apple cider vinegar to the water along with 1 T molasses, but was still having problems until I started adding !/4 t cayenne pepper per gallon of water. Perfect!! solved the problem. Haven’t lost 1 chick from my second batch yet. Will be reading all the back posts as I have time. Thanks for sharing.
